Roll Credits – Great movie opening motion graphics moments

When I think of great opening motion graphics, I think of many great movie franchises. But James Bond stands apart. Above is one example from Goldeneye. It features ideas of the movie (such as the fall of the Iron Curtain, and lots of pretty girls) presented in graphic form, without tipping the viewer off about the plotline. It does not in itself tell a story per se. But it’s an exciting, enticing entry point into the movie, and a work of high art. The only call to action here is to keep watching, but that’s enough. I don’t have to be moved much, just pushed along into the excitement of another great Bond spy-action movie.

Compare titles like these to just about any opening credits. Most credits are boring, visually “blah.” But never Bond.
